Whether it’s a vacation or staycation, take some time to relax in the rural areas of Bullitt County with a trip to a farm. Our farms offer fresh produce, baked goods, and more. In the fall, get lost in a corn maze, pumpkin patch, or enjoy a hayride.
Hours/days of operation shown are tentative. Check with the farms directly to confirm when they are open to the public. These are working farms. Please respect the property and rules of the families who open their property to visitors. Also, many of these farms have booths at the different farmer’s markets around Bullitt County.
Everything sold at this farm is located in a small, roadside shed. It is self-serve and operates on the honor system. Products for sale include fresh seasonal produce and flowers, eggs, pickles, baked goods, honey, and a variety of jams and jellies. Reach out to them directly to purchase farm raised, implant and hormone free beef.
Cedar Creek Beef Company*
Veteran owned and operated Cedar Creek Beef Company sells USDA inspected beef raised right on their farm, and there is a butcher shop on site as well. They also carry honey, butter, eggs, pork, and chicken. Additionally, Bella Farms often has seasonal produce for purchase at this location.
Elliott Brothers Farm*
Elliott Brothers Farm is a small farm in Shepherdsville, KY that grows all-natural produce, and uses organic growing methods. They have a wide variety of produce to choose from and sometimes you can get “a little something” different. They plant summer, winter, and fall crops.
Elliott Brothers products can be found at the Mt. Washington Farmers Market (320 N. Bardstown Rd, Mt. Washington) when it is open, and once the Mt. Washington Farmer’s Market winds down, the Elliott Brothers On The Farm Fall Market opens to the public (late September through October). They also provide CSA (community supported agriculture) boxes.
Stop here for fresh meat for a weekend cookout or to stock the freezer. Fresh milk from the dairy is available for purchase as well as corn fodder and straw bales for those fall decorating needs. Their meat selection includes farm raised beef, pork, and chicken.
Huggett Family Farm
Located in Lebanon Junction, this small family farm offers produce, eggs, occasionally lamb, and soon they will add honey to the list. Everything sold here is from their very own farm. Look for Huggett Family Farm at the West Point Farmer’s Market to make purchases. When the West Point Farmer’s Market is closed, contact Huggett Family Farm via phone or Facebook to purchase their goods. If picking up goods at the farm, the family asks that guests not wander around the property unless invited. For more information about Huggett Family Farm, check their Facebook page.
