One of Bullitt County’s oldest festivals, ColorFest at Bernheim Arboretum in Clermont celebrates the magnificent displays of foliage color and the touch of fall in the air with a weekend of fun for the whole family.

Kick off the fall season with hayrides and a hay maze, pumpkin launches, nature activities, Kentucky arts and craft vendors, and lots of great food and local music.

ColorFest is a free event. $10 per car environmental impact fee still applies to non-members for entry. Select activities do have a small fee.

While you’re visiting, don’t forget to pay a visit to Bernheim’s Giant Troll family – Mama Loumari and her kids Little Elina and Little Nis. They love their home in the Bernheim Arboretum forest and are proud of the statement that their creator, Danish artist Thomas Dambo, has made about sustainability and respect for the environment.

With foliage at its best, autumn is a great time to plan a Bullitt County getaway, and the perfect time to visit the nearby historic sites. A short drive from Louisville, Bullitt County offers lots of places to stay, with hotel packages and accommodations near I65 in Shepherdsville.

See you at ColorFest!
