In 1964, Congress designated bourbon as “The Official Spirit of America”. On June 14th, we celebrate the drink that has made Kentucky famous. Fun fact: 95% of the world’s Bourbon is produced in Kentucky.

We invite you to start your tour and stay at the Trailhead of the Bourbon Trail in Shepherdsville, just south of Louisville. Close by are two of the originals, Jim Beam and Four Roses Warehouse and Bottling.
On the Bourbon Trail you will see that the popularity of Bourbon around the world has led to plant expansions at Wild Turkey, Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark, Four Roses, Buffalo Trace, and Woodford Reserve. They have all also expanded and updated their visitor centers.
Shepherdsville on I65 is centrally located to the 16 distilleries that now make up the Bourbon Trail.
