Belmont Iron Furnace

The site of a 19th century iron furnace. Located at Bardstown Junction, KY 61 and Beech Grove Road. Built in 1832, the stone stack was 33 feet high. With charcoal fueling the process, it produced 700 to 800 tons of castings annually.
